PROJECT TD125

28/April/2013

 the plinth is ready

yes. it is custom made acrylic plinth

cost me over S$230 to made

i would say it is more stylish looking with this look-thru enclosure

missing the armboard and it is going to be acrylic again

took me 2-3 hours to polish the armboard holder

still undecided on what tonearm to use

probably i will settle with SME 3009

stay tuned!!

20/April/2013

i have the deck striped off & sent the plinth to customize into something with much cooler looking

will share when is ready

below are some photos of the base deck and the chassis

the base after removed from the plinth

closer look at the base. note the 3 round cones that can be screw up/down to adjust the chassis that is to be place on top

side view

another side view

the chassis and the 3 springs suspension. this metal is super heavy

the springs still looking good (and bouncy).... the springs are stuck-ed to the stub and i not going to force to remove it

PROJECT TD125

no taker for this deck so i decided to embark this project

here are the plans:

1. customize a new plinth (already ordered)

2. clean up the chassis and align the 3 suspension springs

3. probably customize the armboard to match the plinth or order from ebay

4. arm... still considering should i take the SME 3009 S2 Improved

5. cartridge... MM or MC?

6. and finally mounting and setting them up and enjoy the music

target to get the deck up before Jun2013

stay tuned!
